RWA Tokenization on Robinhood Chain

Robinhood Chain is the first Layer 2 where tokenized stocks and ETFs trade as standard tokens with live onchain prices. We build the products that turn those assets into DeFi: lending markets, index baskets, yield vaults and structured products. And for asset owners, we design and deploy your own RWA tokens on the chain built for them.

The Chain Where Stocks Are Already Onchain

Most RWA tokenization projects spend their first year solving the same two problems: getting a credible asset onchain, and getting a reliable price for it. Robinhood Chain launched with both solved for its flagship asset class. Tokenized US stocks and ETFs, issued as Stock Tokens by Robinhood’s regulated entity, trade on the network as standard tokens, each with its own live Chainlink price feed.

That changes what an RWA builder can do. Equity exposure becomes a building block: collateral in a lending market, a component in an index basket, the underlying of a vault or a structured product. The tokenized RWA market has grown from about $5 billion to over $33 billion onchain in eighteen months, and equities are its newest and fastest-moving segment.

We work on both sides of this market. For DeFi and fintech teams, we build the platforms that put tokenized stocks and ETFs to work. For asset owners, we tokenize real-world assets, from funds and private credit to real estate and commodities, as independent third-party tokens on Robinhood Chain.

Two Ways to Build RWA Products on Robinhood Chain

Pick the track that matches your position in the market. Some clients need both.

Put Live RWAs to Work
(build with tokenized stocks and ETFs)

Tokenized stocks and ETFs are already trading on the chain with live prices. We build the products that use them: lending markets, index baskets, yield vaults, trading apps and structured products.

For: DeFi protocols, fintech startups and trading platforms that want equity-powered products without issuing anything themselves.

Bring Your Asset Onchain
(tokenize your own assets)

The chain is permissionless, so independent issuers can tokenize their own assets: fund shares, private credit, real estate, commodities and revenue streams, with compliance controls built in.

For: Asset managers, property firms, credit funds and businesses that own the asset and want it tradable onchain.

RWA Tokenization Development Services We Provide

From products built on Robinhood’s tokenized stocks to tokenizing your own assets, everything ships from one team.

RWA Lending Platform Development

Lending markets where users deposit tokenized stocks like NVDA or SPY as collateral and borrow stablecoins without selling their exposure.

Index and Basket Token Development

Bundled products such as an AI basket of NVDA, MSFT and GOOGL that values itself automatically from live onchain prices.

Yield Vault Development

Vaults that put tokenized stocks to work in lending markets, so holders earn yield on top of their equity exposure.

RWA Trading Platform Development

Trading and portfolio apps with live USD valuations, daily profit and loss, and swap functionality for tokenized stocks and ETFs.

Asset Tokenization Development.

Your own RWA tokens on Robinhood Chain: fund shares, private credit, real estate, commodities and revenue streams, engineered end to end.

Structured Product Development.

Onchain products that react to equity prices, such as contracts that execute automatically when a stock crosses a set threshold.

Compliance Module Development.

Investor whitelists, jurisdiction gates, KYC-bound wallets and lockup enforcement, built to match your legal counsel’s requirements.

Oracle and Pricing Integration

Chainlink feed integration for tokenized stocks, and custom pricing or proof-of-reserve setups for assets without a public feed.

Full-stack applications around your RWA product: dashboards, investor portals, admin panels and reporting.

Understanding Stock Tokens on Robinhood Chain

The essentials of how tokenized stocks and ETFs actually work, in plain language.

They Behave Like Normal Tokens

Stock Tokens work with any wallet and any standard token tooling. Holding tokenized NVDA is, from a wallet’s point of view, no different from holding any other token. That is what makes them easy to build products around.

One Token Per Stock or ETF

Each tokenized stock or ETF has its own contract, identified by its ticker. A token gives you economic exposure to the underlying share’s price, not legal ownership of the share itself.

Dividends and Splits Are Handled Automatically

When a company pays a dividend or splits its stock, holders do not need to do anything. The token adjusts how many underlying shares it represents behind the scenes, and the live price reflects it. Products we build account for this from day one.

Every Token Has a Live Price

Each tokenized stock has its own Chainlink price feed publishing live values onchain. Any application can read these prices, which is what makes lending, baskets and automated strategies possible.

Trading Works Through Quotes.

At launch, tokenized stocks trade through a quote-based system rather than open liquidity pools. Apps that need swaps plug into that quote flow, while apps that need pricing read the live feed. We design around this from the start.

Only Robinhood Issues Them

New Stock Tokens can only be created by Robinhood’s regulated entity. Builders work with the tokens already in circulation. Knowing this constraint early prevents product designs that assume otherwise, and it is where less careful agencies go wrong.

Everything we ship is tested against these mechanics before launch, including simulations of dividends and stock splits, so your platform behaves correctly the first time a corporate action happens in production.

How RWA Tokenization Works on Robinhood Chain

The path from a real-world asset to a live, tradable token, in six steps.

1

Asset Assessment

We evaluate the asset, its ownership structure, how it should be priced and what restrictions apply. Not every asset is ready to tokenize, and we say so when it is not.

2

Legal Structure Alignment

Your legal counsel defines the wrapper: what the token represents and who may hold it. We translate those rules into the token’s design.

3

Token Design and Build

The token is engineered with the right supply, transfer rules and distribution logic, then tested against real-world scenarios including corporate actions.

4

Pricing and Oracle Setup.

The asset gets a reliable price source: a Chainlink feed where one exists, or a NAV reporting and attestation process where it does not.

5

Audit and Launch

Independent security audit, a full rehearsal on testnet, then deployment to Robinhood Chain mainnet with verified, public contracts.

5

Distribution and Operations

Investor onboarding opens, income distributions run on schedule, and your team manages everything through the admin panel we hand over.

RWA Products We Engineer, and What Each Involves

Product What it does What we build
Lending market Borrow stablecoins against tokenized stock collateral Lending pools, collateral rules, liquidation safeguards, price-feed protections
Index basket One token holding a weighted mix of tokenized stocks Basket token, creation and redemption flows, rebalancing logic
Yield vault Deposit tokenized stocks, earn yield on top of exposure Vault contracts, strategy connections, accurate share accounting through dividends and splits
Trading / portfolio app Buy, sell and track tokenized assets in one interface Trading interface, quote integration, live valuations, transaction history
Structured product Payoffs linked to equity price movements Product logic, settlement design, heavy edge-case testing
Own-asset tokenization Your fund, property or credit portfolio as a token Asset token, compliance module, income distribution engine, pricing setup

Compliance Is an Engineering Requirement, Not a Footnote

RWA projects fail legal review before they fail technically. We build with that reality in view.

Jurisdiction-Aware Design

Robinhood’s own Stock Tokens are not offered to US persons and carry restrictions in several jurisdictions. Products built on them, and independent RWA tokens, need eligibility controls that reflect your legal counsel’s requirements. We implement them at both the token and application level.

Restricted Tokens Done Right

Where your asset requires it, we build transfer-restricted tokens: investor whitelists, verified wallets, lockup periods and recovery provisions for regulated instruments, while keeping the token as standard as the rules allow.

Trustworthy Pricing

An RWA token is only as credible as its link to the real asset. We use Chainlink feeds where they exist and design transparent valuation and attestation processes where they do not.

What We Do Not Do

We are engineers, not your law firm. We work alongside your legal counsel on structuring, and we do not issue securities, custody assets or offer investments. We also cannot create Stock Tokens: those are issued solely by Robinhood’s entity. What we build is the technology.

Bring Real-World Assets Onchain, Correctly

Whether you are building on tokenized stocks or bringing your own asset to Robinhood Chain, the first conversation is a technical one. Have it with people who have read the documentation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you tokenize stocks for us on Robinhood Chain?

Not directly, and no honest agency can. Stock Tokens are issued exclusively by Robinhood’s regulated entity. What we build are the products that use those tokens, such as lending markets, baskets and vaults, or tokenization of other asset classes you own or manage.

What is a Robinhood Stock Token?

A standard token on Robinhood Chain that gives the holder economic exposure to a US stock or ETF, one token contract per ticker. Each has a live onchain price feed, works with any wallet, and trades around the clock in eligible regions. Holders get price exposure, not legal ownership of the underlying share.

What happens to products built on Stock Tokens when a dividend or split occurs?

Nothing breaks, if the product was built correctly. The token adjusts what it represents behind the scenes and the live price reflects the change automatically. We test every build against simulated dividends and splits before launch, because this is exactly where carelessly built platforms fail.

Can US users interact with what you build?

Stock Tokens themselves are not offered to US persons and are restricted in several other jurisdictions, which constrains any product built on them. Independent RWA tokens carry whatever restrictions your legal structure imposes. We implement eligibility controls to match your counsel’s requirements, but the legal determination is theirs.

What assets can we tokenize ourselves on Robinhood Chain?

The chain is permissionless, so technically any asset your legal structure supports: fund shares, private credit, real estate, commodities, revenue streams. The practical questions are pricing, transfer restrictions and how income gets distributed. We assess all three in the feasibility phase.

Why build RWA products on Robinhood Chain instead of Ethereum or Base?

Because the flagship RWAs are already here with solved pricing. Tokenized stocks and ETFs with live price feeds exist on this chain today, with fast blocks, low fees and full compatibility with standard Ethereum tooling. For equity-linked products specifically, no other network currently offers this combination.

How long does an RWA project take?

Products built on tokenized stocks typically take 6 to 12 weeks including audit. Tokenizing your own asset depends on the legal track running alongside the build, which we coordinate with your counsel from day one.

Is Blockchain App Factory affiliated with Robinhood?

No. We are an independent development company building for third-party projects on Robinhood Chain, the permissionless network. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Robinhood Markets, Inc.
